Silver City is a Lebanese sterling silver jewellery retailer and wholesaler built on decades of experience in the jewellery industry.

Our Story:
Silver City's story began in 1978, when founder Noubar Soghomonian started working as a diamond setter in Bourj Hammoud, Lebanon, at just 16 years old.
His attention to detail and dedication to his craft led him to begin working independently only two years later. In 1980, at the age of 18, he established his own atelier, designing and manufacturing gold and diamond jewellery in Lebanon.
In 1989, Noubar travelled to the UAE to continue developing his expertise within the region's growing jewellery industry.
Having come from a modest background himself, he believed that beautifully made jewellery should not be limited to those who could afford gold and diamonds. Silver offered a different possibility: a precious metal that could combine quality, design, and accessibility.
Drawing on his experience in fine jewellery and his eye for craftsmanship, Noubar shifted his focus toward sourcing high-quality silver jewellery from international suppliers.
In 1990, he founded Gulf Jewelers in Abu Dhabi as a wholesale silver jewellery business, supplying retailers across Arab and international markets.
As the business grew, Noubar moved to Dubai and established Silver City in 1997, expanding into both retail and wholesale.
During this period, Silver City was also operating in Lebanon. In 2000, the business relocated its operations fully back to Lebanon, where Silver City continues its story today.
